You never text, you never email

I was reading some blogs today and started thinking about something. How has our technology impacted the way we communicate? Yes, I am aware of the randomness here. I am equally aware of the irony involved in posting about diminishing personal communications on my blog, so lay off me.

Who writes letters any more? Not me. Not in a long while. I can easily facebook, email, text someone if I really need to say something.

I love blogs, don't get me wrong. The thing I don't like about them is that they encourage this lack of communication. How so? Well, I read blogs from some family and friends. Based on the knowledge I gain there, I don't feel like I need to call them or write them even an email (unless their blog reveals a family tragedy or something). I don't need to call and say how are your kids, or how many do you have. It's all there.

What think ye? Off my rocker?

I agree, but I love sending cards and letters. I'm weird that way.
