I love this time of year for a few reasons. While I hate the cold and the snow on the roads, I love the scary movies that permeate the airwaves on the march to Halloween! Last night I watched the 2005 version of House of Wax. It was a bit freaky, not Childs Play freaky (I have an irrational fears of dolls thanks to that movie). The whole idea is that this group of friends get stranded near this tiny town, as they search for help they come across a guy who seems to be the only person in town. Ends up that he and his disfigured brother had murdered the entire town and turned the people into wax sculptures. Morbid? Yes. Cheesy? A little. But it was a good freaky flick over all. Not sure on the language because this was the TV version, but there was plenty of gore. Not for children's eyes.
Shalee even stayed awake to watch it with me, although the scariest part for her was when her phone rang and made her jump. If you like scary movies, your month of the year is here!
