Interesting.......

This past week has been the Rigby city library's annual book sale. Last Saturday we took the boys over and perused for a bit. Shalee grabbed a book or two, a book for Hadley, we got a movie, and I got this.

I was hoping do gain some insight into the process of writing scary stuff from a LDS perspective. The book cover led me to believe that there would be some. I was wrong. Lots and lots of creepy stuff, but not scary. Also, I realized that Card must not only write with his door closed, but probably edits that way too. Mark, you know what I'm talking about. This book left me feeling dirty or icky, I was so angry that I threw the book in the trash. After a few minutes I pulled it out again. I will probably never read it again, but I will keep it to remind me of how you can get pulled into a story, almost feel like you're a part of it. I think any author would love to hear that he/she did that for a reader. I didn't like the book, I do not recomend it, but it was a well told story, and for that, Orson Scott Card, I applaud you. And for Ender's Game, but that's a given.
